There is an increasing number of health workers that are required to work on non-NHS sites or whilst mobile.
Examples are social services working within a Council network, working within an associated University Health facility, or a GP/Consultant working in the community from a Community site (school, library etc).
Each one can connect to a computer network that is attached to the internet.
By using the Standard or Enhanced Service that user can create a VPN Tunnel from their computer to the NHS network and onwards into their corporate network.
This means that a greater number of users can 'piggy-back' onto existing high speed community networks and access their health computer systems.
