Q. Can the Administrator Token also be used as a User Token? A. No. The Administrator Token is configured to enable the administrator to gain access to a secure web portal to set up and control their users and their passwords.
Please note: Millbeck Communications provide a managed administered service for a monthly fee less than the cost of an admin token.
Q. What is the lead time from order to receiving the goods?A. The Token Only service will normally be provided within 4 weeks. The On Site VPN Concentrator solution will normally be provided within 6-8 weeks.
The Millbeck Managed service can be provided within 2 weeks of ordering.
Q. What else needs doing to make this solution work?A. The N3 router needs to be reconfigured to allow through the fixed IP addresses for the Token users. For GPs using the Millbeck Managed Service we organise this for you.
Q. Which IP ports are already opened for the Token Only Service?A.

Q. Can I use my existing broadband connection for the solution?A. In general the answer is yes apart from AOL. Your provider must support IPSEC tunnel passthrough and ideally give an unlimited throughput of data per month.
If your users do not have broadband at the moment the Broadband Internet from Millbeck Communications meets all technical criteria and provides billing to surgery or Trust.
Q. We already have SecurID tokens. Can we use these?A. Yes. You will need to export the seed records from your Ace Server and submit these to the Cable & Wireless security team. You will then be able to use the token on both your private solution and this managed one. The set up for your tokens is included in the annual service charge.
Q. Which Nortel Contivity models do you use?
A. Different models of Contivity are used depending upon the service taken. These are given below.

Q. Do I need to install any software on my PC in the Surgery or Trust?A. No software is needed on the Trust/Surgery PC.
Q. Can anyone get into my system if they copy my log on details?
A. No as the system uses two factor authentication and one of these is a token that generates a random number every 60 seconds, therefore even if your numbers were copied they would have expired before the person could use them.
Q. Does the Health VPN use external servers to connect me?
A. No external servers are used to connect you.
